This week, Tim was at work everyday from open to close getting ready for a big visit from the CEO of Staples. With that said it was me and 3 kids. On Monday, I had school and didn't know what time I was going to be done so the boys talked me into taking their bikes to Nana's. I packed them into the back of the van and brought them back home. On the way up to the house, Riley was on my left pushing his bike and Aiden was on my right. Aiden decided to run around me, to Riley and ran right into the handlebar of Riley's bike with his eye. Needless to say, as the week went on, his eye went through the different stages of bruising. I tried to get a picture of it but this child does not sit still very well. He also had two bloody noses this week, threw up on the floor from eating too fast, flooded my bathroom and laundry room and dumped three water bottle full of used vegetable oil on the kitchen floor. My little Dennis the Menace was very busy his last week as a four year old.

WATER BALLOONS!!
Here are the waterballoon toss pictures. It started out as a game. Here Riley is giving Aiden something to shoot for.
I'm a Big Boy
Yesterday, July 24th, Aiden turned 5!!!
Nana made him a Fireman Sam cake because Aiden is going to drive a Firetruck when he grows up.
When he woke up this morning, we said Happy Birthday and he was so excited that his day was finally here. He asked if we could do fireworks tonight so we found him a sparkler number 5 for his cake.
He gots lots of Toy Story presents from Mom and Dad, Phineas and Ferb with Perry the Platapus from Riley and lots of money from family.
We had a firetruck pinata, Thank you Nana.
The pool was set up in the backyard. There was a waterballoon toss and lots of trampoline jumping by all of the cousins.
Today the Birthday Boy is taking a much needed rest after his big day of fun.

There she goes again
Tanealya left for Nebraska to head off the Youth Activation Comittee for Special Olympics during the summer National Games.
This is Tammy, Sam and Tanealya
Getting their tickets so they can sit together on the plane.
Tanealya and Sam have about 40 lbs worth of luggage each. They are going to be gone for 9 days.
Off they go. Spread the word team. Say NO to the R word.
Relay for Life
Friday night was Relay for Life, it is a celebration of surviving cancer and remembering those who did not win the fight. Here the kids and Tim are taking a little rest.
The kids bought some glow in the dark necklaces from Sletten to show there support.
We are such angels, walking for cancer. See our HALOS!
We got one of Tim's chemo nurses to take a family picture for us.
We started our evening at 7PM and walked until 10PM.
There were different booths set up to buy food, shirts and miscellaneous items with all proceeds going to the American Cancer Society.
The kids ate their fair share of snow cones and cupcakes.
At dusk, they light the luminaries that are lined all around the inside of the walking track.
At 10PM they had a ceremony of remembrance. They announced all of the names on the luminaries. It was very touching. Riley started to cry at the beginning of the ceremony when they played a Sarah McLaughlin song "Angels". We stayed until Tim's name was read, it was 10:30 by then and little Aiden was ready for bed at 9:00.

Fun with Friends
The boys spent the evening playing on the trampoline with Caleb, our next door neighbor.
Here they are counting 1..2...3... and then they try to land on their backs and spike one another.
We love summer because all of the kids are out and playing.

Summer Time
The weather was finally hot enough to enjoy the pool.
Taylor is taking some much needed R&R, she has been helping out a ton this summer, watching her brothers while I am in school and working, taking her Dad to his doctor appointments and chemo treatments, and going to school herself to get a jump start on next year.
Aiden has been her little buddy all summer.
I guess they figured they would dry off faster on top of the shed in the back yard. These little monkeys are always looking for new places to climb.
