Christmas Baking

Christmas baking tradition at the Hueth's.
This year Aiden is old enough to roll out the dough and cut out the cookies.

Riley and the girls are working together to cut out the different shapes.

I doubled the dough this year and ended up with way too many cookies.
Everyone frosted the cookies.  Riley lost interest.  Aiden made his cookies extra heavy with frosting.  The girls did theirs perfectly.

We made lots of yummy treats again this year.  We have gingerbread men, sugar cookies, soft molasses cookies, peanut butter cookies with Hershey kisses and peanut butter cups, butter mint cookies, chocolate cookies, chocolate peanut butter cookies, coconut dream cookies, peanut brittle, caramels, salted nut rolls, English toffee and fudge.  We love this day every year, watching Christmas classics and taste testing all the delicious treats we create.

Christmas Decorating

This past Friday while the shoppers were out shopping, I was building a shelving unit for our new transition room.
After I was finished, I brought out the holiday boxes and with help from the kids we put out all of the Christmas décor.
I have been collecting Snowmen for the past 15 years and have accumulated quite the collection.
Taylor says I am not allowed to collect anymore.  She says it looks like a snowman exploded.
It feels so much like Christmas.
